Royal Liverpool, founded in 1869, is one of the oldest and most historic clubs in England and over the years has earned a deserved reputation for presenting some of the finest greens in British golf. It was here in 1930 that Bobby Jones won the Open Championship, and Tiger Woods claimed the title when the club staged its eleventh Open in 2006. It also hosted the inaugural Amateur Championship, the first English Amateur, the first Home Internationals and the precursor to the Walker Cup. Royal Liverpool will host the 2012 Ricoh Women’s British Open and the Open Championship in 2014. Royal Liverpool is ranked 15 in the UK and is ranked in the top 80 courses in the World!
