Ballybunion - Old Course
Ballybunion - Old Course

Designed and built in the mid 80's by the most prolific architect in American golf history - Robert Trent Jones. He described the course as "the finest linksland in the world". The par 3 17th hole is a windswept beauty - 145 yards with both tee and green perched high above the water.

Waterville
Waterville

Waterville - on Ireland's most scenic drive - the Ring of Kerry - is one of its outstanding courses. One hole after the next - they just keep getting better. Waterville - opened in 1973 by American Jack Mulcahy and designed by Eddie Hackett - opened the floodgates to the modern Irish golf boom. This is truly one of the greats.

Old Head
Old Head

"The most spectacular golf course on the world." This statement is said without qualification by most everyone who comes to Old Head. Built on the 350 acre tip of the seven mile Old Head of Kinsale peninsula - the course is surrounded by almost 360 degrees of water - with cliffs bordering the fairways - up to 400 feet above the ocean.

Tralee

This is a Palmer design - on Point Barrow on Tralee Bay - of "Ryan's Daughter" fame. The beach is magnificent and this course, particularly the back nine, provide some of the prettiest and most awe inspiring holes in Irish links golf.

This is a magnificent little course set on Dingle Bay. Step over the rise from the friendly clubhouse and the entire course lays at your feet. Like many Irish clubs - this is the kind of place that makes you feel welcome and that makes you want to return soon.

Dingle (Ceann Sibeal)
Dingle (Ceann Sibeal)

The Westernmost course in Europe - Ceann Sibeal is at the very end of the Dingle Peninsula. Eddie Hackett - as with all his west of Ireland masterpieces - took the land as it lay and designed a golf course. This land - which slopes gently from the clubhouse to the sea - has the unusual links feature of a stream meandering through the course. This is a Gaelic speaking region. Enjoy your stay.

(Image Coming Soon)

The best of Ireland's inland or parkland courses.  The town of Killarney is often used as a base for American golfers. One of these courses at the "Killarney Golf and Fishing Club" make a good warm-up round for the links courses which await. The signature hole is the 18th at Mahony's Point - a par 3 guarded by the lake on the right and a single overhanging tree on the left.

Adare Manor
